Many months ago, some of our volunteers took the one remaining cam on one of our Mullard Heritage presses and painstakingly measured it out once, twice and then once more for luck before it was put into CAD system and a drawing suitable for a foundry to cast and machined was produced.  We then had to find someone with the right skills and supply of materials to do the job. Last week, we took delivery of the cams.  Each cam is made of two parts and it has a continuous groove which drives one of the press actions. Another step forward in the restoration of our heritage Mullard 4 slide press.
