The final piece of the restoration plan for our Ediswan RF Induction Heater was completed recently – a new cabinet, graphics and paint job. Originally donated to us some years ago by the British Vintage Wireless and Television Museum, it is the third of our RF generators to be overhauled by TonyK. It was liberated from the Ediswan factory before it closed down and came to us as a bare chassis.
RF Induction Heaters were developed for the valve industry to heat the insides of valves as they were being evacuated in order to drive off contaminants. This one will be used for prototyping and small production runs.
