Great British Valve Project Appeal
You may have already heard that after many years of research and investigation we have tracked down the original tooling to make almost every valve type that was produced at the Mullard works in Blackburn. These machines are huge – anode stampers, grid winders, cathode formers, spiralised heater coiling machines – three lorry loads and all in very good condition. However, just like our classic steam engines of the past, they are due to be scrapped. We therefore need philanthropists, financial backers and engineers to help bring this project home from abroad before it is too late. This is a pivotal moment in which you can play your part to restoring valve manufacturing back to its rightful home. If you can help in any way or know someone that can then please click here to go to the Great British Valve Project page.
