After many months of checking wiring and building a Python code library, Mark is now at the point of running test cases on the whole activation system to check all the main functions perform correctly before we connect the 3 phase power and test some valves.

Mark's code is based on the methodology developed by another volunteer Ted when we reengineered Brimar Display's award winning design.   After talking to some ex-engineers from Middleton and acquiring some otherwise scrap pieces from the original system, we brought that back to life a few years ago.

Our industrial sized rack was designed in 2018 by Roy, and based on the documents and experiences recounted to us by people in the know. 

Over lockdown a number of volunteers built the 8 front panels from a detailled kit of parts which we supplied. Post lockdown we decided to computerise the system to make it safer, less prone to operator error and dangerous failure modes.  Pete designed the 3 phase power system based on Bob's control system architecture design. Virtually all the volunteers have had some hand in getting the project this far. 

We plan to have everything completed by the end of the year and that will be another major tool and step forward towards producing more complicated audio valves.
