First run of newly serviced Leybold Trivac Pump.
This pump came to us a few years back on a Sylvania CFL bulb outgas rig. We had to condemn the rig however the pump seemed like it had some life in it. Initial test were not very promising with a pressure of 10^‐2mbar. Pete and some of the volunteers stripped the pump, gave it a good clean and reassembled it with new seals etc. and now it outperforms our current roughing pump reaching pressures of 2.9×10^-3mbar very quickly and quietly. Having tested it briefly on one of the hottest days of the year, we are awaiting some cooler days to run it in for a few hours.
